Yeah bad battery life is definitely not the norm, i'm pushing 20hrs now with 25% left Thats not as nice as some others are saying but still plenty good, maybe you have a defective battery ?

I didn't mean outcry from you, I meant the collective owners. Also not saying you're exaggerating or anything, but it sounds like something is definitely wrong with yours.

How can I fix this 12 hour battery life of mine? I mean, 12 hours is decent, but 9 am to 9 pm with no gps, no bluetooth, no wifi, no 4G, no phone calls, moderate texting and at most 10 minutes of a game, all with 3 bars of 3G?...

It's no 20 hours with 25% left...

At first I was getting 7-8 hours tops, but after a few battery cycles I noticed it has improved a great deal. It went a solid 12 hours Saturday night with heavy use. Took a lot of pictures, heavy text messaging, calling people, and checking on social stuff/emails/etc.

Hopefully will get more from tweaking with the settings

How do people get 20+ hrs with the ns4g. Do you have to have everything turned off and dimmed all the way down? I'm thinking about switching from my evo 3d to the nexus

With light use yesterday and on wifi for at 1/3 of that time I was able to get 22+ hours before I got down to 15%. I took it off at 3pm and it finally died on me around 4pm the next day while playing a game. Live wallpaper was running and stuff as well. Hope that helps.

I was getting about 3-5 hours with heavy use and 7-8 on normal use. I installed Green Power the other day and my battery lasted me more than 14 hours so far with normal to heavy use.

After deleting stuff off of my phone and not running some of the things i was, I used the phone all day yesterday without changing it once...i even used it to tether to my Wii...
