Home button gets blocked on locked screen

I noticed that when I hold my phone in my hands and then try to unlock it, home button sort of "freezes" for a while. I press on it and nothing happens. I don't have the block accidental touches setting on. Any idea what it could be?

My black note8 does that from time to time. I notice it mostly if I had just locked screen and quickly try to open it again. I usually just give it a few seconds if possible then it goes back to normal. My deep sea blue hasn't done that yet. Couldn't tell you why it does that tho. Do you think maybe the sensitivity of that button effect it?

No idea, that is why I qm asking here. What is your sensitivity setting? Mine is 3/5.

Yeah I've noticed this happens when the phone hasn't been used for a while and has been stationary. When I lift it and press the home button, it takes a second for it to start working. I think that's because the phone is waking up and getting ready for use? That's my guess.
