On a nexus6. On the phone icon tap it. The you will see speed dial recent and contacts. Tap on speed dial and in the upper right hand corner 3 dots are there. Click on those dots and clear frequents. Poof all is well in the universe all text and calls are gone. Just the frequent ones hope this helps

Your trick worked great for emails. However, it didn't delete the text frequent contacts. Have you figured out a way to clear that list too?

For anyone still dealing with this problem. This worked for me. Seems to be where the master Frequents come from. The list quickly repopulated with new (and in the same country as I'm currently in) contacts. It did remove them all across all Gapps including messenger.

Hi I do not see that option. I am using HTC one M8

I am using HTC M8, does this mean I need to set up a mail account (open new email). I do not see delete frequents in my phone
