home screen contacts wont add any now.

accidently deleted a contact from home screen with pic. now wont let me add any contacts to homescreen. help please cant figure out what happened. thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Was it a Direct Dial widget, or a different kind of Contacts widget? Long-press an empty part of the homescreen, select Add Widget, and look for either the Direct Dial widget or the Contact widget. Add that to the homescreen, and then select the contact you want to associate with it.

Thank you for this info! Samsung did an update and took away the "add contact to home screen"! I too deleted two contacts by accident and couldn't figure out how to get them back. Again, thank you!

Thanks for the tip.
Last phone was a " LG" and it had a menu item to add contact to home screen. Galaxy J3 2016 doesn't have it. Thanks again.
