Home screen icons changing

I'm not sure how this is happening but the home screen icons are changing on my fiancee's phone. You know how you poke and hold then let go and you get the little paint brush that will let you change the icon? That's whats happening. She swears shes not doing it though. I had to change a couple of icons back to their default again. Is there a way to lock the icons so they don't mysteriously go chameleon on her any more?
