Home screens. How are you set up?

I use Apex Pro. There's nothing wrong with TW but I don't like to see the persistent notification bar and I prefer to be able to overlap widgets. Here's how I'm set up now. And obviously I'm ready for summer..

I created the widgets using Ultimate Custom Clock Widget (UCCW) and SmallWhites icons. So basically it's my own theme. It takes some practice to do this but once you get the basics down it's pretty simple to do.

I have five. I like my main home screen to be fairly empty. (Its the one with just the battery widget). Then theres two with settings and numbers only because the widgets are so big. Then two with my frequent apps. I use the next 3d launcher. Its awesome!

Since I'm a beginner on customizing home screens, I have a question. I have figured out how to bring in a widget and have an assigned function, such as with Zooper. If I want to use an icon for something and have it open a folder instead of just one certain app, how can I do that? Like if I made my own icons for example, and I want one called games to open all of them...how do I do something like that instead of only seeing choices of opening one app per button?

This is with nova launcher prime.

1. Select the folder you want to change the icon for. In this case I'll be changing the camera folder icon.

2. Long press the folder and you will be given a list of options

3. Select edit and these options will come up and you want to change the icon for the folder, select the picture of the folder.

4. You will then be taken to your installed themes. You can select an icon from your themes or swipe all the way to the left to get to your gallery and use your own icons.

5. Select your icon. I've selected this icon for my camera folder. And as you can see I've given my camera folder a name.

6. Select the checkmark in the top left corner of the Window when you are finished editing this folder icon. That's it. You've now customized the look of your folder from a preview layout to a single icon. In the second picture you can see that when the icon is selected it opens your folder. Done.

Thanks SO much! It works! I'm pretty excited as I have been trying to figure this out for a long time. The folders really threw me. I didn't realize I could do that.

Which Icon group is that? looks like ThaUltimate Icon, but I don't remember seeing little squares with rounded corners like that....

Those are the Nokia belle theme. Some are the elegant theme. The folder icons are now the blue neon theme but the apps themselves are Nokia belle.

I've changed it up a bit. Ok the clock and weather are the hd widgets. The widgets for wifi, brightness and battery are hd widgets and the one with the cell signal is called Networkinfo. The folder icons are the neon blue theme. In the second photo you will see that when I select a folder icon that my actual apps are the Nokia belle theme (that's my spen folder that's open). In the third photo that's what one of my app drawer pages look like which I get to by selecting the superman icon on the home screens. I've had all kinds of different layouts ranging from really complicated to just a few icons and I find this simple layout to be the easiest to use for me. Don't get me wrong though it may not look that complicated but it takes some work to get here.
