Homescreen - remove the dot above the google bar?

I only use one home-screen, so don't need to know that I'm on screen #1.

Any idea how to do this?

Yes, those dots are part of Touchwiz. It's not hard to change your home app/launcher. Download the "Home Switcher" app from the market and then search for different launchers. LauncherPro is popular, and I also like Helix Launcher. Play around with different ones until you find whatever you like best.
