According to Motorola's website

So though that gives us no exact date we should be seeing it roll out for us WiFi users soon enough

Good find. I know of one WiFi user who has already gotten their update. However they did previously buy a 3G Xoom which they returned for the WiFi only version.

It should've been rolled out at the same time as Verizon's update but hopefully motorola and google keep good with their word

My hunch is they are saying a few weeks to allow for any delays and to look awesome if they get it out earlier.

My bigger question is when will the other tablets get the update. Acer, ASUS and Samsung you are on notice.

Heh, we're all curious. Hearing about random wifi users getting the update has me checking my xoom on the hour.

Manually change your date ahead by a day or two. The Xoom only checks for updates once per day. Apparently with 3.1, a "check now" button has been added.

Thank goodness. I mean I know having a "check now" button is just gonna tease me for future updates, but it's definitely a welcome addition.

This is a good idea, except if we change the current date to tomorrow and the update does come tomorrow, we would have to wait until the day after to check. I guess I would just wait to check daily.

It will check immediately after you change the date. You can then turn it back to automatic and be back to normal. I did this four times today and it checked for an update each time.

What about Verizon version in an area without 3G, running on the Verizon network and WiFi most of the time? I have to drive 20 miles to get consistent 3G. No update as of 9:54pm EDT Wednesday.

Just got it on the Wifi only Xoom via OTA direct from Google. Tried the date switch thing a few times to no avail but then it just popped up after I walked away for 30 mins and I hit 'OK' to get the update.

Did you at one time own the 3G version and then return it for a WiFi only? Or did you just buy the WiFi straight up?

I just recieved it about 30 minutes ago as well on the Wifi Xoom. Noticed in the System Update area theres a check now button. That shouldve been there from the start lol. Things do run a little bit snappier and its nice to resize the widgets that came in Honeycomb for the Xoom.
