Honor 8 music player with RIDICULOUS feature

I am a little confused as to the design of the music player built into the honor 8.

When you turn the phone horizontally, it becomes a slide show of your playlists. You are no longer able to see any other information, you aren't able to change tracks or pause or anything, so when I plug it into my horizontal phone holder in my car, I can't use the player.

As far as I can see, they also did not build an option to disable this. Does anyone know how to? I can't fathom that the all of the money that went into designing and producing this phone, all of the executives, market research, product testing etc..it got through all of that with such a ***** built into the phone, without a way to remove it.

Sorry if I sound pissed off, I just feel like it is so bad and so dumb that they must have done it on purpose for some reason to control the user, like you see a lot of technology. It's stupid enough to put it in in the first place, but to make it so you can't disable it? What?

Does anyone from honor ever respond here, I would really love to hear why they think this is useful.

Sounds like a stupid function alright!
Perhaps turn off screen rotate as a band aid until you work it out...?

Better way than turning off auto rotate is to drop the notification shade.
