Hello guys

I have been scratching my head since a few days.
My Nexus 5 is slowly but surely dying and the first phone that came to my mind to replace it is the honor 8.
But my cellular provider offers for the same price the Huawei P9 ... Is there any reason I should prefer one versus an another ?
I like the build quality of the full metal body of the P9 better and the dual lens seems better used one this one too.
But the honor 8 has one more gigabit of ram and a fast charger in the box ...

Please help me !

Where do you live? if the answer is NA/USA I would go for Honor. Support is in TX. What LTE bands does P9 support? I am sure it is a good phone -- however the Honor has US support.

Edwin is right, you need to look at which is supported in your area. On the performance side, I know the p9 has an edge in the camera with the leica setup, but people have said the extra gig of ram in the Honor 8 makes a difference.

L29 and L09 supports USA LTE

The l29 has 4 gb ram and 64 gb internal

In fact I live in France so the band support is no problem I just need to know if the ram update is important ... But I have to say that the P9 design is more appealing to me ...

The p9 L29 has the same ram as the honor 8

Yeah but my phone operator doesn't have the L29 version ... Only the 3 gigabit of RAM version ...

Hard to say then. For most, 3gb should be adequate for now. But 4 gb would be more future proof.

My Moto z Play Droid has 3gb and it runs great. Though I got a great deal on it, not sure if I wou pay $400 for it. But it also depends on your other options available to you.

I didn't know that :)

Probably because the price of the p9 l29 is close to the price of the p9 plus l29, so most would choose the plus. With that said... If 5.5" is too big then the p9 l29 is a good choice for those who want the smaller screen.

With this question in mind, has anyone tried the mate 9? I'm considering getting a second phone with a large screen.

I'm definitely getting the Mate 9 to have a big phone when I wanna give my Honor 8 a break.
