Hoping For Update Soon

Hope they put out an update soon for our US released S22 Ultra cause so far the only thing better on it compared to our Note 10+ is the camera and the battery lasting long then our 3 year old Note 10+.
Tired of the spinning arrow.

I think we get too invested into worrying about updates if we're not having issues(not saying that you're not), but I just want me phone to be solid. I've seen too many updates break things that were working fine(i.e Z fold 3). If it's not broke don't fix it.

I will say overall my S22 Ultra doesn't seem quite as smooth as either my OnePlus 9 Pro or my Pixel 6 (non Pro). This is mostly within apps though so I don't think it's the phone itself. Or at least I hope not. I see stutters when scrolling in certain apps that I don't on the other phones. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the apps with no luck. IMDB is one of them. It also happens in the Google Feed.

That's the main reason I'd like to see an update.

short battery life.
browsing the app drawer sometimes results in the phone locking itself randomly.

That sounds like a potentially serious hardware or software problem. But I haven't seen other reports of it, so it may be a defect peculiar to your own device, in which case pending updates are unlikely to address it (though simply changing the firmware and restarting might randomly affect it).

You've tried restarting? Does the behavior also occur in Safe Mode?

Overall the Ultra. Everything is better about it over my 9 Pro. It's just a few random apps with stutters. Not even lagging or anything. More like it's dropping frame rates or something.

I really do think it's some kind of bug or something. It's intermittent in my Google Feed. Doesn't happen in the rest of the system apps or scrolling around the phone in general. Just certain apps feel like they're dropping frame rates. Stuttering not lagging.

My S22U has so far blown my Pixel 6Pro out of the water. Which as it should for being a more feature spec device.

Same here. My pixel 6 pro is definitely not smooth lol. At least before the updates. It has gotten better currently.

No issues here after almost a month. Phone is incredible.

The only tiny thing I have noticed is that when using the google phone app (rather than Samsung's phone app), there is an extremely minor stutter when bringing up the dial pad, and it looks like it's re-scaling to the phone's resolution rather than actually lagging. I am wondering if certain apps just need updates to work more smoothly with the S22U's new screen resolution, but that is just a guess. That is the only place I have noticed anything other than buttery-smooth, instant-fast performance. Remember to set all your OS animations to 0.5X to make the phone feel twice as responsive unless you enjoy watching transitions.
