Horrible service from Samsung

Well I got an email confirmation saying they accepted my trade-in so my worries are over. This was the first time I have ever traded in a device and after some of the stories here and there I was a bit concerned.

I've traded in 3 times with Samsung.... Never an issue, but I suppose stuff does happen.

Yeah , I could say same for my personal experience on Samsung, Google, Apple all been good but you hear others not so good.

Samsung's trade in program has improved a lot over the years, don't hear near the complaints. We can't say their customer service has done the same.
 
I also think that because Samsung sells so many different models of phones, it hurts their ability to keep them updated security and os wise. Plus I believe you only get 2 os updates on their flagships and one on their budget lines like Moto does (correct me if I'm wrong), where as a company like Google, with less phone models to deal with, gives you 3 os updates, and 3 years of monthly, like clockwork, security and feature updates...on all their phones regardless of price.

I think for the money Samsung should step up their update game.... especially on their flagships. A $2000 fold should get the same or better treatment than a $349 pixel 4a :eek:

Yep, leaving the biggest remaining question, "how long these updates will take to arrive."

What should we expect for the S20 FE? Both in terms of longevity (years of updates) and also the pecking order for those updates (for example, the S20 line has received the Verizon 5G update and the S20 FE has not yet).

Update timeframe will depend on model and carrier dependancy just like any other Android device.

Why do you think the S20FE will be different in terms of longevity?
 
What 5G is the S20FE working on.
Does anybody use the 5G
If I am right.Nobody at Present uses it..
 
I would be shocked if Samsung wouldn't give it 3 years support.

Yeah your correct not flagship but probably going be one of the more popular seller for Samsung. When I seen the article awhile ago mention majority Samsung phones starting with the s10 lineups and on will get 3 years support i think s20fe be included be shame if it wouldn't.

The article Mike linked doesn't say majority, though. It says flagships. I can
't tell if that is a direct quote of Sasmung policy or the writer's assumption, though.

I agree that the S20 FE seems like it is going to sell very well and it would be in Samsung's best interest to support it as a flagship even if it isn't one.

The article was from early August so maybe it will be added to the list.

Well, the timing of the article doesn't matter as much as whether they consider the FE a flagship. In other words, I wasn't asking the original question because the FE wasn't listed in the article.

I don't really care if anyone perceives the FE as a flagship or not. I've been happy with mine so far. It only really matters whether or not Sasmung does, for the reason discussed.
