Horrid Seidio 3500mah battery cover

Too ugly for me, ill just get the 1750 one and not look like im holding a child toy up to my ear in public like I would with the 3500...
 
It does not look that bad, even from the pictures and video I've seen. I will report back tomorrow after I receive mine and tell my thoughts. I was at first worried about making my phone ugly, but then I realized that I didn't buy this phone for its looks anyway, and by using a higher capacity battery I will get to use my phone for more things than any of the rest of you could do without plugging in. I am looking forward to flipping that gps widget on for the last time, and setting my facebook updates to every 30 minutes and playing live texas holdem for as long as I want without worries.
 
The 3500 battery is the first thing I bought, I love the way it protects my camera lens and this battery is a beast. Feels good in my hands and although it does look a little bulky I am more concerned @ functionality over form. Besides my phone goes into my Louis vuitton which is pretty enough for the both of them! Lol!

I received mine today. My initial impressions are that the larger battery cover is NOT a deal breaker. The added thickness is not as much as you may think from the photos. Cover fits like a glove, and fastens into place better than the stock battery cover (mine was always popping up a bit on one side). A little added weight, but it feels good in hand. Looking directly at my phone obviously I do not even know it is there. You only see the thing when you look at the back of the phone, so what is the big deal? It still fits in my pocket just fine, and if this thing adds as much juice as others have claimed, I believe this is the single best thing you can buy for the Evo. Cannot wait to use this phone to it's full potential.

what he said, I just received mine also. Everything you say is true, I hold my phone by the sides, so it's like it's not even there.
 
Day 4 of this battery and I love it... I keep everything turned on the screen really bright and the battery takes it all in stride ... gotta say its the best 60$ I ever spent

At the risk of REALLY being a dweeb, the deal breaker for me is that they don't have a holster that fits it. The tumor is one thing, but to have that thing stuck in your pocket?????!!! BTW, I saw one of the 3500 sized Innocases today. I can see where the weak spot is going to be....the "seam". I went through 5 (count em) Innocases for my Pre(s). The tabs were crap. I'm thinking I'll try the 1750 and see what the "17%" will give me, if anything. If not, someone will buy it. They always do :)
 
I'm pretty sure that the holsters still fit, nothing on the sides or front of the phone changes, and most of the holsters have the screen facing in. Check seidios website, but I'm pretty sure they all still fit.

The holster works great. The first thing I buy with all my phones is the extended battery. I USE my EVO and it lasts all day with everything turned on. I get my phone to use these features. When I go to bed after a 16 hour day with heavy usage I still have between 18-30 % left. Effing love my 3500 battery.
 
I've had mine for almost a week and I've tried everything to kill the battery over the course of a long day and with everything turned wide open plus tons of YouTube videos I've just given up. That small hump on the back doesn't make one bit of difference to me and besides, I'm not looking to tether the phone to a charger 2 or 3 times a day. LOL

I received my seidio case today and was a bit bummed that it doesn't provide as much corner protection as I like in a case. I wonder if anyone else will make a case for the 3500 back?
 
Ya know brick I've actually emailed Seidio to make an innocase active limited edition for the 3500 battery.... I bet if enough of us did the same thing it might help. I too was a little disappointed With the coverage of the case around the edges ... but.... I love this battery so whatever

Which Seido Holster fits the Innocase Extended ? Seido has a couple holster clips, and they do make a note that the innocase holster is not compatible with the Innocase Extended.

I REALLY want to get the extended case and 3500 battery, but I have to have the thing on a holster.

The extended battery seems like a good idea, but I have a couple of issues. Firstly, I like to put my EVO leather sleeve. As far as I can tell, there isn't a leather pouch that fits with the extended battery. Secondly, I use the HTC car dock. It fits really snug with the EVO without a skin. It definitely wouldn't fit with the extended battery. Those are my only two issues with it. So I won't be able to get one.
 
No horrid battery cover here thank god.received mine today and was impressed with the fit and finish.

Same here.. just received mine yesterday and it fits perfectly. My guess would be early production quality problems or user error installing it...probably the second. I don't mind the added bulk, in fact the protection to the camera lens setting the phone on the back and it makes it easier to pick the phone up now because there is a gap under the edges of the phone and what ever it is sitting on. Have a Seidio holster coming today,,, check mate for the EVO I say,, no worries about a dead battery here!!!!!!
 
This is one of the nicer looking ones. If you think horrid, go back and peek at the exteneded batteries for the mogul and the ppc 6600. As far as the innocase for the extended battery, as mentioned above, is there a holster that the phone will fit into with the extended battery and the innocase for the extended battery installed?
 
bought a 3500 Seidio off Amazon for $59.99

really? is fashion really that big of a deal to people? the phone is already ginormous. buy a pliable case--cut from the kickstand area to the Camera/Speaker area and you can't even see the battery.
i hold the phone by the sides. no one can tell.

it gives better protection to the camera=+1
gives me double battery life=+1
i can actually USE 4g without worrying if it'll drain my battery like all those stock-battery Evos=+1
i don't have to run to a charger at the end of the day=+1

really. come on people.
if you don't have one, then you don't know what you're missing in terms of the benefits to the battery life.
have fun running to your charger cables every night.

i for one love the battery.
