hotmail sync - how to sync past 30 days

I just got rid of my iphone 5 and I debated between the optimus g or the note 2, given the size difference I went with the optimus g. Now I'm regretting that choice. My hotmail won't sync past 30 days and its my primary email account. Does anyone have any work around or suggestions that may solve my problem? And yes I'm already thinking about selling it to get a Note 2. Thanks in advance.

Based on what I researched (I'm researching using Outlook.com/Hotmail.com in an Android before I purchase an S3 or S4), there's no workaround.

May I ask why the "Note 2"? I've been using Hotmail.com for ages now, and just want to make sure I can easily set it up in an Android phone.

I assume you already have dismissed using the browser when you need to see old emails... but that is what I would do.

I would think that this is actually a mail client software issue more than a phone issue. Surely there must be one of the hundreds of email clients that will sync more data (although I would guess the demand would be very low to have that much email on a phone)... If not, send a request to your favorite app developer and ask for them to consider adding the ability. K-9 may be a good candidate to consider adding a longer sync period, since they state: K-9 is focused on making it easy to chew through large volumes of email.
