Hotspot on Verizon

Quick question...i preordered through Google store and it is going to ship end of November...I didn't want to wait. So I bought the phone from Best Buy and it ships Monday. My question is this...my mobile hot spot works fine on the Nexus 6P...will it work on the Pixel XL if i by it through Best Buy!?

The Best Buy phones (right now) are Verizon Pixels. No reason why it should not work

Because Verizon asked for you to sign up for it... My 6p bypassed it and I was able to use it. I'm hearing mixed reports. Buying from best buy means is a Verizon branded phone. Anyone try it on Verizon yet?
