Has anyone used the Moto G5 Plus with AT&T and tethering? I have the Mobile Share Value plan which includes tethering so is allowed, but wondering how easy it is to set up with the G5 Plus.

Haven't tried but it's right there in settings

@Ca_lvn - Can you actually see if you can turn it on without being required to have a hotspot plan?
My new carrier Cricket on my plan they do not allow this so I can not test for you sorry
Previous to this phone I had Sprint and always was able to bootleg tethering wireless, a couple different ways you can do it, but this phone has it built in, hopefully somebody else can answer your question

Alright, thank you. Much appreciated for the feedback

From the looks of what was posted I'm going to guess it's no more difficult than it is on my G3, and it was on my G1, with T-Mobile: Not difficult at all. Trivially easy, in fact.

Just don't do as one of my colleagues at work did and forget to turn it off.

Just picked up a Moto G5 Plus and can confirm that tethering is working fine with AT&T! But of course your plan has to allow it.

The options seem basic though - on my LG G4 hotspot app, I was able to limit the number of connections and it would also report the connections in a list with the devices' MAC address, etc. Maybe that is buried somewhere in settings ...
