how are the speakers?

The speaker is an average speaker

I have an unlocked
Moto g5 plus the speaker sounds better in that.
I wish they'd put dual speakers on the note 8 but it's not a deal breaker.
Having all the other features certainly compensates for this. Even a better speaker of better quality would have been nice.

if you don't like the way it sounds you can adjust the bass mid range and treble in the sound settings.
