How are you all upgrading to new phones?

For me i switched to the Nexus on its launch day in December fully expecting to pay full price. the sales rep even told me it would be full price after he saw i had no contract. then he rang me up and somehow i got the update price. If you really dont mind the new data plans just give that a shot. they may upgrade you early just to take another person off unlimited.

+1. I also think its worth calling and asking for a tier 2 tech sometimes. They have more flexibility and I do think they are a bit more lenient if it means dropping an unlimited data plan from a customer.
