Hi All. I used to have a specific message notification with a piece of music. It changed a couple of days ago & I don't know why. Since then, I have not been able to find how to reconnect the music piece stored in my phone to use as my message notification.
Thank you.

Addit; I want to have 1 audio file to sound whenever I get a txt msg from anyone. Not just for a contact. When I get a txt msg, I want this particular audio to play. don't want to hear 'jingle', or 'bells', or 'pew pew pew'. I want to hear my sound of choice. Like I have been able to do until 2 days ago. When I first bought the phone, I set it up to play this piece for all incoming txt msgs.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean assigning a specific tone to a contact? Or to a specific message thread?

The normal method for doing this:
- copy the sound file into the /Notifications folder
- In the notifications settings for the messaging app, select that sound file
Depending on your Android version : Settings > apps > notifications > apps > app_name
