How can I connect my Note 3 to Note 8.0

As Title says.. Is there a smiliar way I can connect these devices like my wife Uses her ipad mini ans 5s?

What are you trying to accomplish? When you say connect them, do you want to transfer files between them, share the screen?

I don't have the note 8, but does that bump transfer that the S3 and N2 have work?

Sharing the screen I believe the is Samsung All cast that handles that. Maybe cloud apps like Dropbox can handle the iCloud type syncing. I'm just throwing ideas out..

You can use wifi direct and bluetooth to connect them. You'll find them both under the connections settings. I can't imagine why Samsung didn't include nfc in their tablets. Would have made life much simpler.
