Android Central Question

I cannot figure out how to connect my A71 to my old shop non smart TV. Was plug and play with my last 2 Samsung phones. Can't find any info on it. Ready to send this phone back. I only want to know how to connect with a cable. Not bluetooth or wifi. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! The A71 isn't in this list, although Samsung does caution that this list is only for Australian variants: www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-connect-my-phone-to-my-tv-using-hdmi/. I haven't been able to find a corresponding list for other countries.

In addition, this Verizon help page about sharing the screen doesn't mention connecting via cable as an option: www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-232587/

Off Samsungs webpage for their USB C to HDMI adapter.

Please Note: This feature is only available on the following devices:

Galaxy S8 and S8+

Note 8

Galaxy S9 and S9+

Galaxy Book

Note 9

Galaxy Tab S4

Galaxy S10e, S10/10+ & S10 5G

Tab S5e

Note 10/ 10+ and Note 10+ 5G

Tab S6

Galaxy Fold

A90 5G

It looks like budget and midrange devices aren't included. Good possibility the USB C port on the A71 doesn't support video out.

Vinnycas, if a Miracast dongle will work, any Miracast dongle should work (and there are $8 Miracast dongles on Amazon and eBay).
