Ideally I would prefer to use a Microsoft and/or Samsung application as I don't really trust random 3rd party apps for this sort of thing. I also object to my data being used by Big Data companies.
If AirDroid has been around for a while maybe we can trust it(??) However if it is free, then what is its business model? What are they really doing with their data?
Is there any way to get my Windows Explorer to just see my phone's data, so that I can copy & paste data at will?
OR failing that, to allow my X-plore (or FileManager+) app access to my Windows PC's data?
Re the other points mentioned:
1. I can't find my USB-C to USB-[old] connector. Plus it's fiddly to have to keep re-finding it. Plus, it's the principle of the thing: I don't see why I should have to keep buying new leads every time I get a new phone, (let alone 2 of them!)
2. Thanks yes, I just got Window's "Phone Link" app to connect. BUT I can't see how to copy my random data files of whatever sort between Windows 10 and my phone.
3. In my opinion, Google is the "Enemy Of The People" in that they already have way, WAY too much data about each of us as it is. I simply don't trust "The Cloud". It's too easy to hack.
4. Despite that, I am using DropBox (for limited business purposes) but I have run out of space. I don't want DropBox spying on me either, unless absolutely necessary for business.
[Presumably the US gov's CIA/FBI et al can hack into DropBox, OneDrive, GoogleDrive et al whenever they choose to do so, yes?]
