How can I delete my pictures?

Pictures will not delete

Samsung Note Edge
Android Version 5.0.1

Ever since latest software update several months ago I am not able to delete any pictures. After I take a picture that I want to delete, I go into the gallery, select the picture, hit the trash can icon (delete) and it goes back to the home screen.

I have cleared my cache on my phone. I have cleared the cache in my gallery, after backing up important pictures. The only way to delete pictures is to connect phone to PC via USB cable.

Any suggestions?

Or use My Files to find the picture file and delete it.

I would suggest, if you hadn't done it already, to back up your phone, and do a full factory reset. Sometimes....things happen during major upgrades that can only be fixed by factory reset.
