how can I delete send but not delivered messages from both devices

I sent a wrong message but the recipient hasn't received it yet. Can I delete from my device and abort the process as not to be sent in the target device

If it's already been sent, nothing you can do from your end to keep it from getting to the other device that you happened to send it too.

How are you figuring that it has not been delivered yet?

The recipient was last seen a week ago and there's only one tick in the message

What messaging app have you used?

Turn on Airplane mode and wait till you receive the error saying that the message is undelivered. Delete it when the error pops up. ;-)
