AC Question

look just got this version tonight, and well it STINKS!!!

My Wife has the LG G2 phone with Sprint, and she asked me to do the update, little did I know it would change everything for the worse. she is Not tech savvy and just got comfortable with the old system. Now I just spent the last 3 hours getting chewed out cause of this "Upgrade" . She had me call tech support and they were dumbfounded as to help informing me to take her phone to a local store to see if they can reset it back. Problem is the local store is 2 hours away by bus, (we have no car) and she cannot work her phone. So what is the previous system and where can i download it to get it back to how it was before? I have no time for this. Makes me kinda glad I have not yet had the "update reach my phone" This is simply horrid, (and yes I'm trying to be polite).

Welcome to Android Central! Perhaps we could help more if you told us what problems she's having. Is it actually not working correctly, or does she just not like the modifications and changes in the OS? Changes happen with any OS upgrade. They happen with Android, just as they happen with iOS. People aren't always happy about them, because they get used to the old way of doing things.

You can downgrade but it will require some work and attention to detail. Google restore g2 back to stock xda. Basically you will need to download a special file specific to your phone model and install it with software from the xda thread. It will factory reset your phone and erase anything personal on it. Make sure back up apps and data are checked in settings. Google if you don't know where that is. When you start the phone after downgrading and log into your google account be sure to check restore my apps and data. Before downgrading copy all photos, music, video and other personal files to an sd card or a computer, noting the directories they were copied from.
