how can i downgrade my Verizon LG G3 back to JellyBean??

Hi all, I just installed Lollipop 5.1.1 and I'm desperate to downgrade to JellyBean OS.... i'm happy to Root if necessary! hoping someone can help!!??? thanks! (I greatly miss my LG G2 that ran JellyBean)

the only solution is to flash JellyBean ROM.
1.root.
2.use a custom recovery (I prefer TWRP).
3.download LG G2 JellyBean ROM.
4.backup you apps using TWRP.
5.flash the ROM.
6.restore your apps.
simple as that.

questions, 1) do I really need to 'backup' the apps as opposed to just reinstalling them from the Google Play store?
2) can I still use the Google Play store after rooting?

You can't flash a G2 firmware onto a G3 handset...

OP do not take the above mentioned advice. 1 or 2 things will happen. 1) flash will fail resulting it a soft brick. 2) flashing will brick your device and may make it unrecoverable.

If you decide to root, Please READ READ AND READ and understand everything there is to rooting your device.

Pushing an actual jellybean into the phone would be easier than rooting, and probably just as effective at wrecking what is a wonderful device. Leave your G3 as it is and enjoy.

you don't have to make a backup it will be useful only in case of an error.
You can still use the same apps you use now.

You do realize that the G3 had kitkat and not jelly bean...

If you get lucky enough they haven't locked down the bootloader yet to keep you from downgraded here is a YouTube video.

The G3 came with KitKat, not Jellybean. There isn't a G3 ROM with Jellybean.

Unfortunately, Best Buy could only replace my broken G2 with a G3 under warranty... I miss my G2 with JellyBean OS!! IMO, KitKat and Lillipop sucks! the camera had many more features, and the notification panel worked better for me. I'm just trying too return to that experience. ... thank you for taking a moment to reply to my query. : )

I'ts not that i want the icons to look different(although i do prefer them to current)...I want the actual functionality of Jelly Bean....."don't fix it if it ain't broke" was the case for me...until an accidental drop and hardware break... now scanning ebay for an unopened G2 running JB.... Happy New Year folks!!! thanks again for the replies!!! : )
