How can I download 16GBs of small files from Nexus 5 to laptop?

Download 16GBs of small files from Nexus 5 to laptop

I have 16 GBs of videos ( so many small video files). How can I download it to my laptop. I have Nexus 5 and there is no SD card.

I used AirDroid, but the file download gets interrupted, so I do not get the entire data.

What options are available?

USB connection doesn't mount the storage.

That would be driver issues on the computer. I am assuming it's windows.

With the N5 plugged into the computer, goto device manager.
Look for the android entry (should be near the top).
Expand and right click on the adb item, choose update driver.
Choose update manually from a list, then choose the mtp driver and not the adb one.

Good tip! Before going that far, though, check a couple of basics:

1. Make sure the phone's screen is unlocked when you plug it into the computer via USB. If the screen is locked, the computer can't read it.
2. When you connect via USB, do you see the USB notification in the notification bar? Swipe down the panel and tap the USB notification, and make sure MTP is selected.

It worked. I install mtpfs in my Ubuntu desktop and it connected. I was able to copy all 15GBs of videos to laptop. Thanks for helping me.
