how can i edit an android app so it opens a certain gps app when i press map on the app

i have an app which is used to take jobs and places of the jobs. I need the app to open a certain gps app (karta) but only have options of built in map, ndrive and google maps. To change these i go into parameters and change a number in navigation mode to either 0=built in map, 3 =ndrive and 5 = google maps. I need to use as low data as poss and ndrive and the built in app do not work on the android versions i have so google is my only option but it uses too much data. I am looking for a way for the app to pick up karta offline maps but i dont know how or if its possible
