Actually I know exactly what you're talking about ironically. That's how I had my chrome browser setup on my old Nexus 6. I had everything in desktop view and it was awesome. However my older phone was also rooted, and I had a piece of custom code to force every website to the desktop view. Unfortunately hitting desktop view every single time sounds awesome in theory just not in actuality.
