How can I fix my Nexus 7 screen fixed?

my nexus 7 screan cracked

i went to my tablet case ( kept in my desk were it cant bend) and i open it up and to my surprise 2 small pieces of glass came out and i was like oh crud, its a small crack all the way threw and about the size of a my thumbnail (im 13) of glass in the top right hand corner is missing... well half a thumbnail the other half is shattered badly and if you touch it some comes out... i have also lost touch with my device (touch screen isnt working properly) is it worth getting a new device or a new screen... or neither.

I can't identify your nationality for certain from your post, but if you are in the UK, the Nexus 7 2013 is currently available from Argos, for example, for £109/16gb, £129/32gb. Get a repair cost estimate from a repairer, and then judge the more worthwhile course of action. That tablet is a mighty good one in spite of its age.
Also, a screen protector for the repaired or new tablet would indeed be a good idea.

thanks Belodion but i have to admit my tablet has a ver-r-r-ry slow response time and i live in western Australia (Perth) so i have a bit of trouble translating that money amount i think if i erased it it wouldn’t be worth much $$ but anything helps, im thinking about getting a nexus 6 or something i do change.
