how can i fix my whatsapp account problem?

[Android Central Question]

I was trying to change my number on whatsapp account and somehow ended with two accounts from same mail id on two phones. i didnt get the backup on my new number, despite having the back up in google drive. how do i fix this? i want to use the new number only.

We've had a couple previous threads on this, it seems the bottom line is that Whatsapp security policies/protocols prevent you from doing this.
