How can I fix some cracking audio on my S6 Active?

Cracking Audio

I have an Galaxy s6 active and sometimes the audio cracks. The best way to describe it is; it is like very quickly hitting the pause/play button but the video stays the same. It happens on youtube videos, apps, and sometimes with Google music. Restarting the phone or app sometimes works but not always. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello Guest :-D

Suggestion would be to clear the partition cache. Turn phone off then once off, hold...Volume Up>Home>Sleep buttons at the same time to enter recovery mode. Then clear cache partition.....reboot and see if that might fix the issue.

If that doesn't help then if it were "me," I would do a complete factory reset of the phone. Back up only contacts and photos you don't want to lose, don't restore from a backup, as it might repeat the issue. After that, then a chat with a samsung rep would be in order, i think!

I have the same issue. It sounds as if something or someone is quickly covering and uncovering the speaker and the noise sounds distorted or like static. I don't know if this is a hardware issue or a software issue though.

Mine does it too but only on Facebook. Also on Facebook, my video player likes to pause and not load.

Same problem here. Haven't found any solutions on the interwebs.

Another post suggests it's a hardware problem caused from dropping the phone, but this phone is supposed to be shock proof right? C'mon Samsung, I've never even dropped it.

I was having the same issue and did the partition cache clearing suggestion and it worked, no more stutter, for now. Im happy.

I remember reading a solution that pointed to VoLTE as the cause. Try turning off Enhanced LTE services by unchecking the box. It worked for some.
