How can I get connectivity between my Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and computer again?

My phone, motorola droid turbo 2 xt1585, was updated last week and now I can't connect to a PC/laptop via a USB to download pictures and videos. I have tried fixes that have worked in the past with this issue but they are not working on this round of Marshmallow updates. Anyone know of a new fix? I heard that Motorola may be sending out a patch from the guys at Verizon, but haven't seen anything on the internet about it yet
