How can I get my earphone jack working again?

my earphone jack stoped working

the other day I went to plug in the aux jack in mu wife;s car, and it worked fine. to day I tried it and nothing . I then plugged in my head phones still nothing. the player still on the phone still works, because it will play through the speaker on the phone weather the headphones are plugged in or not. help me please I really don't want to have to carry my mp3 player again.

I've had to replace the earphone jack on my phones twice now. Depending on what device you use, its not to difficult to replace. Just go on ebay and buy a replacement for it and do it yourself at work. It seems like its straight up broken. So thats my suggestion.
