Galaxy Mega SGH i527 4G network doesn't work in other country

Hi, hope somebody can help me, i have a samsung galaxy mega SGH i527 (AT&T) and now i'm in Perú, that's why i had to unlock my phone to work with a local operator, and i don't have 4G network anymore, it's only running in Edge mode what is really slow, the local operator counts with 4G network and i have the micro sim card. Can i do something?? Please!

Welcome to Android Central! You'd have to find out which LTE bands the provider in Peru uses, and see if they match with the bands on your phone: Specs - AT&T Cell Phones SGH-I527 | Samsung Cell Phones. Just because a provider offers LTE doesn't mean your phone can access it.

just Dial *#*#4636#*#* it will show you testing. Then go to Device information & then just select the network. If network is available it will show you...
