How can I get my videos to move into private mode?

Videos won't move into private mode

Hello all, I've been having some difficulties with my android(it's an S5). Previously I couldn't download certain videos and assumed that the device couldn't translate the file time(.mov). I figured if I downloaded VLC that should solve the problem which it did. However, any videos downloaded through VLC cannot be selected to be put in my private vault. Does anyone have suggestions?

You're best alternative is to download an app locking app from the Play Store to lock the videos and require a password to open. Not sure why it's not allowing private mode after using the VLC...
