Help purple spots on the screen note 4

Hello,
Three months ago I bought the Galaxy note 4
The device works great, but yesterday morning I saw a few small spots on the screen and after a few hours the spots the stains began to spread on the screen.
I just want to to understand what just happened to my device
Would appreciate help thanks!

Have you dropped it by chance? Looks like the inner screen may be damaged.

Re: Help purple spots on the screen note 4

I have no problem replacing screen, but I'm just looking for someone to explain to me what happened and I saw more people if a similar problem and they also say there was no physical damage to the device

I believe most such posters mean no physical damage to the phone case or back. There is obviously been physical screen damage or the screen would not look like it does.

Re: Help purple spots on the screen note 4

It could be a defective screen, it could be a damaged AMOLED layer, it could be a bad cable or connection, it could be a bad motherboard - there's no way to tell without opening the phone up on the bench and checking it.

Since it's only 3 months old, it's under warranty if you didn't cause the damage (by dropping the phone, getting it wet or getting condensation in it).

If the warranty is still good, have it repaired or, if you're in the US, replaced, under warranty. If not, if you have insurance that covers it, use the insurance to replace the phone. If not you'll have to pay for the repair.

In any case, you're going to lose your data, so back everything up (see Backing up an Android Device).

Kind of pointless to keep pressing the issue though. Only you know how your device had been treated, others can only speculate. Clearly the display needs replacement so either some event caused the damage (drop, shock, heat, pressure etc.) or this simply is a matter of a defect in the screen that took a while to manifest itself.

Pull the battery out. Place it flat on a table. Does it wobble at all when you alternate pressing back and forth on both long sides?

Turn it over and try the same thing. Any wobble?

If it wobbles at all, look closely for a bulge. If you see one, there is a blown cell. Time to replace the battery.

A blown cell will put pressure on the screen as the cell continues to leak and expand. That's a possible cause but from my experience it's usually just in one area of the screen that you see problems. Your picture shows it all over the place. So could be something else causing it.

I got these $25 batteries + wall charger and they work very well:
[NFC/Google Wallet Capable] Anker 2 x 3220mAh Li-ion Batteries
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q4NQQA0...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU4535684

If the battery sits flat with no wobble, the battery is likely fine (no blown cell) but you can replace it and see if that solves the issue.

Hi I own a mote 5 dual sim & I have encountered the same problem. Yesterday a small spot was visible & it is spreading all over now.
Did you find out the cause? Let me know ....

Re: Help purple spots on the screen note 4

Ok but I just looking for someone happened to him this problem

Same thing happened to me. I dropped the phone and the screen had a band of light down the side and a few days later the spots appeared. You may have dropped it or knocked and thought nothing more of it it and because the spots don't appear for a couple of days you may not have linked the two events.

I also dropped it a few months ago and cracked the screen. I'm wondering if I should get a decent case for it?

This just happened to my sons galaxy phone. It started as a small purple spot in the corner and it now completely covers the screen a week later. And for those skeptics, the phone was not dropped, bumped, kicked nor damp or wet. It seems to be a common issue as I am finding a lot of blogs on the subject but no cure or explanation. Please post if you do find out the cause. Thx.

This just happened to my Samsung 7 and it's only 3 months old. Samsung will not replace it because they said it's damaged. It has not been dropped at all.

All that happened was that u put too much pressure on your phone because I just had that happen a few days ago and my phone needs to be fixed to

My phone had the same. I think it is because of low temperatures because someone put a cold water bottle on top and then it happend
