How can I get WhatsApp to stop asking me for my PIN every few days?

I have added a PIN to my WhatsApp for security, as recommended. But, every few days it asks me to type my PIN. Again.

I understand that the PIN is important. However, not only is it well committed to memory, but also it's in my password manager. I don't need to be repeatedly interrupted to enter my PIN. I have to enter it each time it asks, otherwise it becomes annoyingly persistent.

Do you know how I can stop WhatsApp from doing this, short of removing my PIN?

That's sad. Thanks for the response. I'll disable the PIN, and contact WhatsApp to ask that they provide an option to remove this reminder.
