How can i go back to my original software

I'm hating every aspect of this soak update that messed up the sensibility of my maxx soft buttons crossing with Google Now & having to tap twice to see recent apps. Is there a way to downgrade my software back to stock? Cause Motorola ain't giving feedback on how to fix it Or if the final update would fix this & WHEN it would be released. Cause I use my phone all day for business matters and the whole back button and recent apps throwing the Google arc is getting annoying_ plus my 4g indicator goes on and off White & blue color. I should have waited to see everyone's reactions first before updating. Is there a way to go back to original?

I am almost 100% sure that once you have received the update, you cannot go back UNLESS you have a developer edition and unlock the bootloader.

As for the buttons and Google Now, the Google Now arc only appears if you drag up while hitting any of the capacitive buttons. That is a change from before, when it was only the Home button that did this. But if your just press the back or recent apps buttons, the Google Now arc will not appear.

I have not had any network issues like you describe. It's possible that your local tower was just coinidentally having issues. I'd try restarting the phone, or flipping airplane mode on and off. It's also possible, I guess, that you have a faulty SIM card. If a restart, airplane mode, or factory reset doesn't solve that, then I'd call Verizon. Perhaps they can tell what the issue is, or they will send you a replacement.

One more thing, To the guys who have no issues... do y'all have screen protector and/or a case on your phone? Cause I do and I think its possible that that's the cause of the problems also. My finger touches the line between the screen bottom and home button, which activates Google now. As soon as I took cover off my finger touches more accurately the home button without a problem. Hmmm...

I'm with Doogald, once you take 12.15.15 you cant go back to 12.7.7 unless you have a Developer edition with unlocked bootloader

I have a Skinomi skin and the Verizon bumper case. I can't say that I am having no problems; every once in a while the arc pops up, because I slid my finger a bit when hitting the button. Bad habits can be solved with time, though.

My screen protector goes way below the bottom of the display - it goes all the way to the bottom of the glass. There is no line for me to hit.

I have an incipio case & the Verizon screen protector that goes all the way to the bottom of home button, right below it. I dont know if removing it will help

doogald described it exactly as it functions on mine - tapping the capacitive buttons does not bring up Google Now. I have to drag up to get it to appear.

You're already looking at having to do a factory reset, right? I'd do that first, and if everything else seems ok, but it still does the Google Now arc thing, I'd try removing the screen protector. It may be messing with it, but you might as well address the bigger issue first, in case it solves it.

Mine pops up Google arc just by tapping, no swipe needed

It appears that in order for the Google Now arc to popup a press of one of the navigation buttons and reaching the screen area is required - maybe your screen protector is transferring the heat/energy from navigation buttons to the edge of the screen - triggering the arc.

If you don't mind another suggestions, seriously, Google+ auto update or Dropbox camera update is such a great feature. Everybody should turn it on. You could lose your phone, or it could break - forget about a factory reset - consider using one of those features going forward and you'll not worry about losing photos or videos.

Good luck...

After playing around a bit, I've found that it's not just a drag up from the capacitive buttons that brings up the google now control. If I place my finger on any of the buttons and then rock my finger toward the top of the display, it will trigger the control.

I do think that Moto should do something to change this. I love google now, but not that much...

So if you roll your finger slightly upward while tapping, it opens Google Now? I can get it to bring up the circle with Google in it if I roll my finger/thumb slightly on the side buttons, but it doesn't open unless I drag my finger at least about halfway up toward the circle. Are you using a screen protector? I am not. Just trying to figure out a root cause...

No, it opens the arc with the google now circle. With 12.7.7, I never noticed that behavior with the home button. It took a definitive slide to expose the arc/circle -at least as I remember it. I recall being frustrated with how I had to think about bringing up the control. That's not happening anymore.
