Android Central Question

I have a Galaxy S4 that I got a couple of years ago. One night I plugged it in and went to sleep, but once I woke up it was dead. Wouldn't turn on, no lights or vibrations, nothing. Thinking it was a battery issue, I immediately went and bought a new one. However, I have since found out that that is not the problem. Something internal isn't working right. I've since tried a myriad of different softwares, but none of them work because my phone won't turn on and thus isn't recognized by a PC. So my question is, is there a way for me to gain access to the internal memory by any means necessary? I've bought a new phone now, so I don't care what happens to the old one, but I just want the old data back; the stuff that wasn't backed up. Thanks in advance.

You mean internal storage. (You can't recover anything from memory - RAM - once the phone is off.) If you can't get the old phone at least turned on, I'm afraid not. The only way to make it work again is probably a new motherboard - and the storage is on the motherboard.

In the future, keep everything important - or that might become important some day - backed up somewhere other than the phone. there are enough free cloud accounts that no one should have a pone that's not fully backed up. (I believe that MEGA gives the most free storage at the moment [50GB, if I remember correctly].)
