How can I recover lost pictures?

lost my pictures!! help.. please..

I have a galaxy s5 i needed a sd card to increase my memory. I went to walmart and purchased a skandisk 16 gb micro SDHC card. they young lady installed it in my phone. it transferred all my contact and text messages, but not my pictures. How to I locate my pictures? Or are they lost forever? thank you for your help.

Welcome to Android Central! How did you transfer that information to the SD card? You can't actually transfer contact info and text messages to the SD, because that information is kept in special databases in Internal Storage. Do you know how the pictures were transferred?

You can always use My Files or any other file manager app to look in the various directories for your photos. The usual directory for photos taken by the Camera is /DCIM/Camera.
