How can I recover my photos off of my phone with a cracked screen?

Help with Photos in Internal Memory - Screen is Broken

I have an S3 with a completely destroyed screen. I want to recover the photos in the internal memory. They are not backed up or stored in Verizon Cloud. When I open the phone device on my computer, I get no files found. Is there a way to access the photos and videos? I cannot access any phone functions through the screen. Thank you!

If the computer can't find the files, it sounds as if something more than just the screen broke - like the motherboard and all your pictures.

The shop way of doing it is to plug in a spare used screen to copy the pictures off. If there's a nice repair person near you, he or she may let you do that. But I think if you plug in a working screen, you're going to find that you still have a non-working phone.
