And I understand it's good and I doubt i'll be uninstalling it.

Use Rashr witch is a recovery tool you an download from play store that you can install every recovery for your phone on. it includes the stock one.

The recovery is also packaged into the stock factory image for the Nexus 4. You can flash that if you choose to not stick with cwm.
