How can I remove the double tap on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5?

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" Double Tap

Just recently purchased the Tab S but finding the tap app then double tap to open feature really annoying. This also applies to the keyboard which is sluggish.

Is there anyway I can remove this tap - double tap feature so it is more on a one tap or single double tap option instead? Also any recommendations on the keyboard is also very welcome.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Accessibility, and try turning off Rapid Key Input. Look around that menu for anything else that might be related.

Re. Keyboard Question

I use the SwiftKey keyboard and love it. My best advice on the keyboard is to always use it in portrait orientation. Landscape is too wide for me.
