How can I remove the password setting on my S4?

remove password setting S4

I am under settings>lock screen>Screen security>confirm my password> and the options for NONE and SWIPE are gray. I would like to return to SWIPE.
How do I do this?

Try to uncheck items in Security - Device Administrators, other than Android Device Manager and Samsung's version.
I read the solution found in past threads but cannot be sure. It may be Encryption is enabled, or Trusted Credentials need to be cleared.
Try in that order.
