How can I reset my Nexus 4?

I can't reset my Nexus 4

I've forgotten my Nexus 4 pattern password and I've used Android Device Manager to "reset" my lockscreen but every time I try to do that it just says that Android has identified that I already have a lockscreen so a new one is not needed. Help?
