How can I reset my password on my S4?

so my kid put the wrong pattern and the wrong pin.

Now my galaxy s4 is locked it self thinking it is lost or stolen. i cant remember password to my gmail or if thats evenwhat it is wanting to unlock. please help.

Sounds like you need to do a factory reset from using the buttons on the phone. You'll need to turn it off first and take out your microSD card so you don't lose pictures. then follow a video on youtube that says this (How To Reset Samsung Galaxy S5 - Hard Reset and Soft Reset) You will probably need to set up a new gmail account since you don't remember your password. Or if you set up your gmail account you can have them text you a reset code to your phone once it's factory reset.
