How can I retrieve the data of old HTC device backup on my Mac to get all my contacts back device?

The backup was created through HTC Sync Manager back then ; my HTC mobile was stolen and therefore I have no access to it, just a backup on my Mac of its content.

How can I retrieve/use the data of my old HTC device backup on my Mac to get all my contacts back and use them on my new Samsung mobile device? (the backup was created through HTC Sync Manager back then, before my HTC mobile was stolen) – any ideas?

Plug the phone into the Mac, run Sync Manager. In Backup & Restore, click Restore.

Thank you Rukbat for your answer but as I mentioned in the post, I dont have that HTC phone anymore (it was stolen) and only have a backup of it and my new phone is a Samsung.
