How can I save Text Pic to Gallery, Android?

I received a text. It has a pic embedded. I want to save it. I have an android. I hit save and it said it was in the Gallery #140. The Gallery has no numbers showing, and the pic is not shown in the gallery. What do I need to do?

Which phone do you have? Does the same happen using a different gallery app? Have you already tried rebooting your phone?
