How can I set up a quick reply to an incoming text when I am driving?

problem using driving assist

Like my new moto x 2014 but can't find a way to set up a quick reply to an incoming text when I'm driving. any suggestions?

What do you mean by set up quick response? Is the text message not being dictated to you in car?

I meant quick reply and yes, the incoming text is read to me but I thought I could also set a quick reply should I not want to speak. am I wrong?

I don't know if it can be done for incoming texts, but for incoming calls, you can set up an auto-reply text. However this is under the "Meetings" section of the Moto Assist instead of the "Driving" section ... Sounds like Motorola didn't think their use cases through.

Most people don't have their work calendars on their personal phone.

Last year in an earlier version of assist you could set up an autoreply. It basically said I am driving and will call you back but you could change it. Mine said “I am driving right now so if this is call me or I will not read this until I stop.” For some reason they took this feature away in an update.
